Nekita Shelton is from Columbia, MD where she is a wife and Mother of 3 children. She loves writing, inspiring others, and encouraging them to affirm themselves. Nekita leads her own mentorship program for young girls, teaching them to write, express their thoughts, as well as implementing self love along the way.  She is passionate in her message, and believes that her children’s books will build confidence, self-esteem, eliminate insecurities, and will inject a positive outlook on  the way young children will view themselves for the future.

I'm a Dope Soul With A Vision to Master Self Love. I believe you must be willing to get to know and form a true relationship with yourself before you can truly begin living the life you are called to live. Through understanding the elements of the depths, wants, needs and triggers of my soul helped me to bring my whole self to the table and encouraged me to thrive and bet on myself. All of these elements brought me to find what was lying Beyond My Surface within my personality, my thoughts, and most importantly, my heart.
