Celebrating 1 Year

🎉Beyond My surface is ONE yall! It’s been a year of starting from a small vision, formed into passion. Who knew that increased faith, and believing in yourself was the key to so many open doors. I’ve learned so many lessons along the way, and I’m grateful for the experience.

I seemed to have been blinded by the picture of success. Success has always been defined as money, spotlight, followers, and material things, but I had no clue what it really meant. For me success means self fulfillment. I now realize that we create our own success, and the royalties will follow. Once you are believing in yourself,others can feel the passion in your work. You have to fall in love with your vision, in order to produce a great motion picture.

This year I was able to accomplish the unimaginable.I stayed consistent in what I wanted to be, and what I wanted to give. Rev.Lisa gave us a great bible study gem “Give what you need”. I dug deep inside “beyond my surface” to discover the things that I needed. I turned those wounds into children’s books, quotes, a mentorship program, and blogs to let people of all ages know they aren’t alone.

Some words of advice. JUST START!

1.Don’t be intimidated by what you see. I was fooled into thinking all of these small businesses, and influencers had some master plan to success. Little did I know we all really don’t know what we are doing, but we are figuring it out along the way.

2.Don’t Give up. Celebrate your small wins, and show yourself mercy.

3.Enjoy the process. I was so busy wanting to rush to get to the goal, but I’ve gained so much more by going through the process of the ups and downs. Its makes your brand even stronger and close to heart.
